ANNUAL MEETING
The Village Hall Committee’s AGM was held on 22nd April. It was a good meeting, coming at the end of a year when use of the Hall continued to be buoyant. Due to increase in running costs, in particular fuel and insurance costs, it was agreed to increase letting charges with effect from 1st May. The charges set out above are the new rates.

For 2008/9 the Committee elected the following officers:
Chair – Jon Wood Tel: 01629 825311
Secretary – Lynda Joyce Tel: 01629 822511Treasurer –
Barbara Wood Tel: 01629 825311
Other members are: Kath Alesbrook, Des Corby, Lisa Cree, Christine Gilmour, Les Kinder and Brian Start. While the Committee can function with this size membership it would be good to have additional members, ideally representing some of the regular users of the Hall. Anyone interested should contact Jon.
FUTURE PLANS
Now that the stage has been improved and a loop system fitted, we are looking to improve the stage lighting. We are also intending to replace some at least of the chairs over the next few months and to install under stage storage. Applications for grants will be made to assist with the costs of these improvements
